Club Derry Under 16's Progress to Buncrana Cup Semi Finals

Today the Club Derry Under 16 football development squad qualified for the Buncrana Cup Semi Final on 21st August.

The lads were up against Fermanagh at 12 noon in their first game of the day.

Derry won on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-03. Scorers were: 1-00 Neil McNicholl; 0-02 Ciaran McFaul, Fintan Kerr, Ryan Moore, Conor McAtameny; 0-01 Padraig Cassidy, Gerard Bradley and Dessie Loughry.

It was a very good display from all the players but the feeling was there would be stiffer opposition against Armagh.

Armagh played Fermanagh and won by three points at 1.30pm.

So it was set up, who ever wins the final game guarantee's progression to the Buncrana Cup Semi's.

Again Derry showed how good a team and squad of players they have this year with a win of 4-08 to 0-05.

Scorers were Neill McNicholl 2-00, Gerard Bradley 1-01, Conor McAtmaneny 1-00, Ryan Moore 0-02, Fintan Kerr 0-02, James Kearney 0-01, Ciaran McFaul 0-01 and Ryan Duggan 0-01.
