City Oaks Hurling

The City Oaks is a new program aimed at under 14’s within the Derry City Council area wishing to improve their game. Each session will focus on a particular aspect of the game with expert advice provided by specially invited coaches. Club coaches will also be invited to attend the sessions, join in with the coaching and ask questions at the end. The City Oak’s programme will be run in the impressively refurbished Celtic Park.

The first hurling session will be held on Sunday 19th July, 11am at Celtic Park. The session will be conducted by Ulster Council Hurling Officer Kevin Kelly.
Participation is free of charge thanks to support from Club Derry but places are limited. Can clubs please get a grasp as to how many players they will have attending and register with Kevin Hinphey (kevin.hinphey.ulster@gaa.ie) or call 028 777 42990. Participants must be aged between 13 and 14. If a player is still under 12, they are not eligible to take part. The other dates arranged are: 22nd August 11am – Kevin Hinphey
26th September 11am – Michael Glover and Michael McCullough
