City Oaks Football

The City Oaks is a new program aimed at under 14’s within the Derry City Council area wishing to improve their game. Each session will focus on a particular aspect of the game with expert advice provided by specially invited coaches. Club coaches will also be invited to attend the sessions, join in with the coaching and ask questions at the end. The City Oak’s programme will be run in the impressively refurbished Celtic Park.

The first session for footballers will be held on Sat 18th July, 11am at Celtic Park and will focus on Defensive Play . The session will be conducted by Derry Under 21 Football Coach Barry Dillon.
Participation is free of charge thanks to support from Club Derry but places are limited. Can clubs please get a grasp as to how many players they will have attending and register with Chris Collins (chris.collins.gamesmanager.derry@gaa.ie ) or call 028 777 42990. Participants must be aged between 13 and 14. If a player is still under 12, they are not eligible to take part. Please note the City Oaks programme is only for clubs from within the Derry City Council area.

5th September 11am – Niall Conway Topic: Retaining Possession
