Under 10 Go Games Football
On Saturday a number of Go Games blitz's for Under 10's took place across South Derry and in Derry City. All blitzes were outside due to the good weather. The standard was very high with some great displays of point taking, blocking, passing and fielding. Some photo's are attached.

Derry Urban Summer Camp
From the 14th to 16th July, Derry City Council and Derry GAA ran a Gaelic Summer Camp 40 children enjoyed the camp held at the County grounds, Celtic Park

Vhi Cul Camp Summer Coaching
Last night 36 coaches took part in the Vhi Cul Camp Coaches training evening. Chris Collins briefed the coaches with a power point presentation before Richard Ferris, Paul Simpson and Diarmuid Scullion put them through a practical session out on the grass that will be useful to them when they are out in the camps which begin the first week of July

Year 8 Gaelic Football @ Templemore, Derry




Today Paul Simpson organised year 8 Gaelic Football Blitz at Templemore sports complex. 4 schools / 6 teams played 16 games in the glorious weather.

Derry City Primary School Gaelic Football Blitz
Paul Simpson organised a P7 football blitz in Templemore sports complex on 23rd April. 5teams and 56 players took part. Thanks to the schools for taking part

Under 8 Go Games Football in Derry City
On Sunday 21st March, 100 Under 8's took part in a Go Games Football Blitz at the Old Library Trust in Derry. 8 Clubs were represented in the morning of football. Thanks to everyone for taking part and to Paul Simpson, Derry GPO for coordinating the games.One coach commented "I want to pass on my thanks to you (Chris) and Paul Simpson for organising the Sunday blitz it was enjoyed by all our players, parents and coaches. It also helps keep our coaching and training sessions lively if we have structured games."

Foundation Coaching Course at St. Mary's Limavady
On Thursday 18th February 35 students from St. Mary's Limavady concluded their Foundation coaching award. Paul Simpson and Richard Ferris delivered a number of classroom based workshops with the students in the morning. Followed by some work in the gym going through the various stages and activities of the Fundamentals movements.
The new coaches worked extremely hard throughout the day and applied themselves really well. The final stage of their foundation award was a practical session on skill development and games. The coaches were assessed and given feedback and personal improvement goals. Well done to all involved. Thanks to all PE staff for their co-operation and hospitatity.

Under 10 Go Games Derry City Blitz



On Sunday 7th February Paul Simpson organised a Club Go Games Gaelic Football Blitz for the Under 10 teams within Derry City Council. 6 Clubs took part in the day at the Old Library Trust. The children really enjoyed the games on the excellent 3G surface. Thanks to all the young players who took part and their coaches, keep up the good work!

Derry Council Indoor Under 12 Go Games Blitz
On Sunday 31st January the Derry City GPO's organised an Indoor Under 12 Gaelic Go Games Blitz. 6 Clubs took part and a total of 25 matches were played.

Foundation Course for Derry City Clubs
Derry City Council provided funding to roll out a Foundation GAA Coaching Course on Saturday past. The Course was held at Steelstown GAC, despite the terrible weather conditions 35 coaches done the course delivered by Paul Simpson and Kevin Hinphey
