The Road to Croker sponsored by Club Derry

On Tuesday 6th April Dungiven Footballers, Ballinascreen Hurlers and Glenullin Footballers all enjoyed their day out in Croke Park as part of the Derry Under 12 Road to Croker Competition sponsored by Club Derry.
100 young players, their mentors and parents were the special guests of Croke Park today. At 1.30pm they enjoyed a tour of the stadium and museum then from 2.45pm to 4.15pm they took part in Go Games on the famous Croke Park turf, needless to say everyone had a very special day.

More information and photographs to follow. Thanks to everyone who made the day a huge success, to the three lucky clubs, their players and mentors for behaving impeccably, to Mary K Burke for agreeing to take photographs of the special day and of course to Club Derry for sponsoring the event.

Ballinascreen GAC Cubs Club

Ballinascreen GAC "Cubs Club" takes place every Saturday morning. Over 50 boys and girls from P1/2 attended the session last week in the Back Row hall. The kids went through 40 minutes of FUNdamentals before finishing off with some games. It was a very impressive session. The hall is also in use during the week for Under 8, 10 and 12's training. Well done to Eunan Murray and his team of coaches for putting together an excellent programme, keep up the good work!

I.N.T.O. MINI 7s

Today we had the INTO Primary School 7's in Hurling and Ladies Football in a sundrenched Ballinascreen. 8 teams took part in the Hurling and 16 teams in the Ladies Football.

Tirkane and St. Canice Dungiven contested an excellent huling final in which Tirkane just came out on top. It was St. Mary's Draperstown against St. Mary's Glenview who battles their way to the final however it was Draperstown who found that little bit extra and were victorious.

Well done to all the teams who took part, thanks to Kevin Toner, Ballinascreen GAC and all the referee's who made the day very enjoyable. Good luck to Tirkane and St. Mary's Draperstown in Fermanagh as the Derry Representatives.
